Here are some films I made.
DOG - [Mapping interactions in Nowa Huta] (DV, 3½ mins, 2007)
Mapping Nowa Huta, the Communist City, by following a black dog. Recording the interactions and connections facilitated by the dog [human-human | human-animal | animal-animal].
Don’t Believe The Hype – [Three Tables Three Cities] (DV, 8 mins, 2007)
Documenting Three tables in three cities. Nowa Huta, Poland. Kelham Island, Sheffield. Garston, Liverpool. Recording the banter, interactions and relations around each table. See the associated drawing here.
Things Are Getting Better – [The Peoples' Assembly] (DV, 1½ mins, 2008)
Demonstrating the Super Window Table – a symbol of hope, optimism and collaboration in Garston. Taking the boards down from the windows and making them into tables. Taking the table to the streets. Taking the table to the people.
Match [Making] (DV, 2½ mins, 2008)
The projects in Garston and Belfast share a link through ‘fire’ and ‘matches’ – both important to their identity [the July bonfires of Belfast and the Bryant & May match factory in Garston]. In the spirit of interdependence, this ‘experiment’ links the two projects. A tribute to matches. A tribute to making. A tribute to making matches [...& bonfires].
